Jeri Hoag Photography would like to introduce one of its recent clients – Miss Kensley. This baby girl looks like her daddy, which is fitting since the name Kensley was chosen to honor her late grandfather on her daddy’s side. Both mom and dad had lost their fathers and they knew that they wanted baby girl to be a namesake. Kensley already has a cousin on mom’s side that carried on grandpa’s name, so mom and dad agreed to honor dad’s father, Kenneth. Dad chose the name Kensley and mom loved it.

Preparation for Miss K went smoothly. Mom and dad did much of the prep work along the way so as not to be overwhelmed as their due date drew near. Mom enjoyed her pregnancy and took pleasure in feeling Kensley move inside of her. “The worst part was the morning sickness and the swelling of the feet,” mom had to say about the not so glamorous aspects of pregnancy.

Reflecting on her labor and delivery mom said “Dad did very well.” They checked into Memorial Hospital at 8:30 P.M. on Saturday and Kensley was born at 5:01 P.M. on Sunday. “I wish I would have known that once you got admitted you could not eat anything (because of the epidural/anesthesia). I was so hungry after labor and delivery was over.” – A good thing to keep in mind for all of the expectant moms and dads out there.

Mom and dad fell in love immediately with their baby girl and were so shocked by her beauty. Mom was also surprised by how much hair their newborn baby girl had.

Kensley’s first few days home with mom and dad were “overwhelming and tiring.” I think most first-time moms and dads would agree that brand new little ones are exhausting but oh-so-worth it.

Kensley’s hands and feet are just one of mom and dad’s favorite qualities. JHP was sure to capture those tiny details! Go on and check out this custom newborn session.
